We teach maths in daily discrete lessons, with additional fluency sessions. We want children to become confident with manipulating numbers and able to apply their learning in different mathematical situations and different subjects. Knowledge and recall of basic number facts is integral to this so we place strong emphasis.
Our teaching is based around the Herts for Learning "Essential Maths" programme, which is adapted to meet our children's needs.
