Support with bringing up children/family issues

Bringing up children is not easy. They don't come with an instruction manual, and issues can arise at any time. At school we can offer you support with some issues. Below are some links to other local support. They can also hep with wider problems such as benefits and housing issues.

If your child is under five, our local Children's Centre has a wealth of expertise. You can contact them on 01992 904442 or visit their website:

HABS (Hoddesdon and Broxbourne Settings) has a dedicated team of family support workers, who can support you in many ways. You can get telephone support from them on 01992 303331 option 5.
Public Health England has launched the first national NHS mental health campaign: ‘Every Mind Matters’, which offers free online advice, designed to help you deal with stress and anxiety, boost your mood, improve your sleep and help you feel more in control. The ‘How are you?’ Quiz gives some tips to improve your health. The action plan allows people to create a tailored self-care plan to support their mental health and wellbeing.
