About Our School
Cranbourne is one of three academies in The Hoddesdon School Trust. The three schools chose to create this formal partnership because we share the same ethos and philosophies, and believe that by working together we can create an even better educational experience for your children.
Pupils love their school.
Ofsted 2020
Cranbourne is a two form entry primary school set in the Hundred Acre estate about a mile from the centre of Hoddesdon.
Our buildings are spacious and well maintained, with large classrooms, two halls and a library. We have two computing suites each with 32 computers. Our purpose built nursery provides a welcoming and stimulating environment for our youngest pupils.
We make full use of our very extensive grounds. We have four playgrounds, fitness trails and climbing areas for all ages, a woodland area, quiet areas, picnic benches, an outdoor classroom and a large enough field to cater for several football pitches, rounders pitches and a running track depending upon the season.
The UNICEF Convention on the Rights of the Child is central to all our decision making at school.
We are proud of the welcoming and friendly atmosphere within our school. It is a school where every child really matters and every family is made to feel part of our community.
We are committed to providing a broad, balanced, knowledge-rich curriculum.
Above all we aim to give the children a primary school experience that they will never forget.
